asked the Civil Lord of the Admiralty to what extent Royal Marine detachments are being withdrawn from Her Majesty's ships.

Royal Marine detachments are being withdrawn from aircraft carriers to enable detachments to be embarked in the four frigates of the West Indies Squadron. The Royal Marine bands and the ground liaison section will remain in the carriers.
