HC Deb 27 February 1962 vol 654 cc115-6W
62. Mr. Gower

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs how many dwellings in Wales now have a piped water supply; and what was the comparable figure in 1951.

Dr. Hill

It is estimated that about 778,000 dwellings in Wales had a piped water supply in December, 1961. This is between 95 per cent. and 96 per cent. of the total number. In 1951 the comparable figures were about 598,000 and 84 per cent.
