Mr. A. Lewis

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs whether he will publish in HANSARD a table of figures giving the percentage rise or fall in the cost of production of local authority houses for each of the years from 1951, taking that year as being equal to 100.

Mr. Rippon

I will, with permission, circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT a table showing movements in the building cost of three bedroom local authority houses. This is the type of dwelling built in largest numbers.
