§ 74. Mr. W. Griffithsasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs whether he will give special financial assistance to local authorities, such as Manchester, who have a particularly heavy slum clearance programme.
Dr. HillI would refer the hon. Member to the Answer which I gave to the hon. Member for West Ham, North (Mr. A. Lewis) on 20th February. Some local authorities, including Manchester, still have considerable resources available to them in the adoption of more realistic rent policies.
