HC Deb 27 February 1962 vol 654 c111W
3. Mr. Hale

asked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science what steps are taken by his Department to keep in touch with the research being conducted abroad into the causes and cure of muscular dystrophy; and whether he will reconsider the arrangements for receiving information as to foreign, Commonwealth and colonial research into all chronic diseases with a view to making them more effective.

Mr. Denzil Freeth

All aspects of medical research are kept under review by the Medical Research Council, who are My Noble Friend's advisers in this field. The Council maintain close contact with organisations and scientists abroad having similar interests. Communication on an international level is also maintained through the publication of results in the scientific press.
