HC Deb 13 February 1962 vol 653 c140W
93. Sir W. Bromley-Davenport

asked the Minister of Transport how many orders were lost to the shipbuilding industry as a result of the one-day engineering strike recently; and what estimate he has made of the amount of money this represented.

Mr. Marples

I do not know of any lost shipbuilding orders, but a Sunderland firm has reported the loss to Holland of an order for repairing a Norwegian tanker. I have no information about the amount of money involved.
