HC Deb 13 February 1962 vol 653 c130W
Mr. Snow

asked the President of the Board of Trade how many registered agreements between Japanese and United Kingdom companies exist covering manufacturing processes and technological data; and whether he is satisfied that the United Kingdom is securing an adequate share of this form of overseas trade.

Sir K. Joseph

There were 51 such agreements at the end of September last year. I am sure that more British firms could with advantage pay attention to this source of overseas income, and recently there have been signs of increasing interest. My right hon. Friend welcomes this, and would recommend any firm wishing to investigate the possibilities to seek advice from his Department.
