HC Deb 19 December 1962 vol 669 c204W
Mr. Emrys Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what recent representations he has received from the Scottish Peat and Land Development Association on its proposals to expedite land reclamation schemes which could provide employment in Scotland; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Noble

The Association have asked me for a meeting to discuss two resolutions which were passed at their recent conference on land reclamation, and which deal, respectively, with land development and with the marketing of agricultural produce particularly in remoter areas. I have invited them to meet me at an early date.
