§ Mr. Randall
asked the Minister of Labour if he will state the percentage increase or decrease of unemployment in each region at the latest convenient date compared with figures of unemployment 12 months earlier.

The following is the information:

Percentage increase in unemployment in each region of England, in Scotland, Wales and Great Britain between November, 1961, and November, 1962:

London and South Eastern +34.6

Eastern and Southern +22.2

South Western +30.7

summer term. It is estimated that about 200 boys and 220 girls will leave school at Christmas; none is registered as unemployed.
