§ Mr. ChatawayThe information asked for in the first part of the Question is not available. My right hon. Friend has recently announced to local education authorities their minor works allocations for 1963–64. The national total of these is at a somewhat higher rate than for the preceding year. Authorities are free to carry out jobs costing less than £2,000 outside their allocations. I understand that the work of covering in the urinals at Alexander McLeod School is in this category and will be put in hand by the London County Council next year.
