HC Deb 12 December 1962 vol 669 cc76-7W
92. Mr. Mason

asked the Secretary of State for Air, in view of the recent successive Skybolt missile failures, and the pressure within the United States of America to down-grade its development in the priority list, whether he will consult his counterpart in the United States of America to ascertain when Skybolt will be fully developed and ready for operational uses.

Mr. Grimond

asked the Secretary of State for Air, if, in view of the recent lack of success of the Skybolt missile, he will make a further statement on its future.

Mr. H. Fraser

This project is under discussion between my right hon. Friend the Minister of Defence and the United States Secretary of Defence and I have no statement to make at this stage.
