HC Deb 11 December 1962 vol 669 c28W
Mr. Wise

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if the Government of Hong Kong has yet adopted the recommendation of the 1959 Hong Kong Salaries Commission that men and women medical officers should be remunerated on equal terms.

Mr. Sandys

The Commission's recommendation in this respect was accepted to the extent that equal pay was granted to women medical officers, serving on the pensionable establishment or on agreement, upon reaching the fourth point in their salary scale or upon entry at or above that point.
