asked the President of the Board of Trade how much of the £75 million authorised to date under the Local Employment Act has been devoted to industrial development in England, Scotland, Wales and Ulster, respectively.

Of the £75 million that has been authorised to date under the Local Employment Act, £25.5 million has been offered in respect of industrial projects in England, £41.6 million in Scotland and £7.9 million in Wales. The Act does not extend to Northern Ireland.
