§ Mr. ErrollDirect investment—other than in oil and insurance—by United Kingdom companies in the European Economic Community since its inception on 1st January, 1958, up to the end of 1961 amounted to £69 million; the total invested in the United Kingdom by E.E.C. countries in the same period was £28 million. Figures including investments made prior to 1st January, 1958, are not available.
