§ Mr. Benceasked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science what steps he is taking to ensure the prompt exchange of ideas on their latest discoveries between the British Ship Research Association and those shipyards which are carrying out modernisation plans.
§ Mr. Denzil FreethIn addition to its other research programme this independent co-operative industrial research association is conducting a programme of research into the organisation and techniques of production. I understand that this programme is controlled by committees on which various shipyards are represented, and that reports of the research results are circulated to members without delay. In addition assistance is always available from the research association to its member firms with problems of shipyard layout and equipment.
