HC Deb 05 December 1962 vol 668 c198W
Mr. Hannan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if there is now an appointments system prevailing at all out-patient departments of hospitals under his administration; and what other steps he is taking to reduce the waiting time of patients attending such departments.

Mr. Noble

There are appointments systems at the vast majority of outpatient departments. Hospital Boards have been asked to obtain regular reports on the working of these departments and to do everything possible by use of work study and other methods to keep waiting time to a minimum.
