§ 94. Mr. Haymanasked the Minister of Labour whether he will make a statement on the unemployment situation at Falmouth.
§ Mr. HareThe number of workers registered as unemployed rose from 627 on 15th October to 1,462 on 12th November, mainly as the result of discharges from the ship-repairing firm, Messrs. Silley Cox. I understand that the firm expect work on further orders over the next three weeks, and this should substantially reduce the level of unemployment.
