HC Deb 02 August 1962 vol 664 c148W
Q10. Mr. A. Henderson

asked the Prime Minister what progress has been made by Her Majesty's Government in their evaluation of the new discoveries relevant to the detection of nuclear underground explosions; and if he will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

We have had a series of consultations with the United States authorities and substantial progress has been made. The right hon. and learned Gentleman will have noted that President Kennedy is reported to have said yesterday that Mr. Arthur Dean would be returning soon to Geneva where he would be able to amplify the American position.
