60. Mr. Reynolds

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what consultations he has had with the local government bodies concerned, and what decisions he has arrived at, on the ratio he intends to recommend between councillors and electors for the new London boroughs, on the holding of elections in the new London boroughs annually or tri-annually, on (the holding of elections in the new London boroughs in October November or in May of each year, and on the procedures to be adopted for determining ward boundaries in the new London boroughs.

Meetings have been held with representatives of the associations of the local authorities concerned, but I am not yet in a position to make a statement.
