HC Deb 02 August 1962 vol 664 cc123-4W
58. Mr. Russell

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what instructions have been given to the Metropolitan Police regarding the enforcement of the Litter Act, with particular reference to the problem arising from the volume of litter deposited in the streets of the Borough of Wembley.

Mr. Woodhouse

If an offender persists in committing an offence under the Litter Act, the facts are ordinarily brought to the attention of the local authority for any action it may consider necessary. No special instructions have been given about the enforcement of the Litter Act in Wembley.
