§ Mr. Priorasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will publish figures of fat cattle accepted for guarantee in the period 1st January to 31st March, 1961, and 1962, and the cost of the deficiency payment.
Mr. VaneFrom 2nd January to 2nd April, 1961, 531,112 cattle were accepted and the guarantee payment was £5,989,338. The corresponding figures from 1st January to 1st April, 1962, are estimated to be 582,000 and £6,105,000.
