§ Mr. Kimballasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will grant official recognition to the liaison officers appointed by the local branches of the National Farmers' Union to meet his Department's grading officers over disputed grading of fat cattle.
§ Mr. SoamesMy Department's fat-stock officers are already in close touch with these liaison officers who perform a very valuable service in the markets, and they will certainly be glad to discuss any disputed grading with them. The final decision on the grading of any animal for subsidy purposes must, however, remain the responsibility of the fatstock officer.
