asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will give an assurance that adequate emergency plans exist to move vegetable and other highly perishable foodstuffs from the docks in the event of a widespread dock strike; and if he will make a statement.

I do not think that it would be advisable for me to make a statement on the action that might have to be taken by the Government in such circumstances.
