§ 61. Mr. Hileyasked the Minister of Transport why he will not impose the holiday speed limit of 50 miles per hour at Easter.
§ 62 and 63. Mr. Masonasked the Minister of Transport (1) why he is not imposing a restricted speed limit during the Easter holiday;
(2) in view of the late Easter and unusually long winter, if he is aware that if good weather prevails over the Easter period there will be a mass exodus from town to country; and if he 113W will now consider imposing restricted speed limits on certain roads to help eliminate the high accident rate.
§ Mr. MarplesExperience has shown that the traffic volume at Easter is not comparable with that at Whitsun and on summer week-ends and for this reason no speed limit is being imposed this Easter.
