§ 5. Mr. John MacLeodasked the Lord Privy Seal to what extent, in his negotiations with the Common Market countries, he has ensured that, if the United Kingdom joins the Common Market, British fishermen will be able to fish in the territorial waters of the countries of the Common Market.
§ Mr. HeathQuestions of fisheries policy have not yet been discussed in the course of the Brussels negotiations. I fully recognise the importance of the point my hon. Friend has in mind.
§ 28. Mr. Biggs-Davisonasked the Lord Privy Seal what political or other commitments he made to the European Economic Community during the recent Western European Union meeting in London; and whether he will make a statement.

§ 30. Sir D. Walker-Smithasked the Lord Privy Seal what arrangements have been made for further discussions at Western European Union in regard to the political integration of Western Europe.
§ Mr. HeathWhen I suggested to the other six Governments at the Western European Union meeting on 10th April that we should hold discussions on this subject, I did not specify in which form they should be held. This will itself be a matter for discussion with them.
§ 31. Sir D. Walker-Smithasked the Lord Privy Seal whether he has yet received an invitation for Her Majesty's Government to be associated in the political discussions of the European Economic Community.
§ Mr. HeathThe six member Governments of the European Economic Community have not yet reached agreement amongst themselves on a text for a political treaty. I made it clear to them at the meeting of Western European66W Union on 10th April that we expect to be consulted before they finalise any text and I further suggested that it might now be useful for us to join them in discussing the political structure of an enlarged European community.
§ 38. Mr. Millanasked the Lord Privy Seal whether Her Majesty's Government will be represented at the talks to be held between the Ministers of the Common Market countries and the sixteen associated African territories, starting on 20th June, for the purpose of working out the detailed plans for the continued association of the overseas territories with the Common Market.
§ Mr. HeathThe question of our participation in the talks on 20th June has not yet arisen in the Brussels negotiations.
