§ Sir D. EcclesYes. I have decided to conduct a survey by means of a questionnaire to local education authorities. I am consulting both the local authority associations and the teachers' associations about the form of the questionnaire.
By this means we shall obtain a full record of the progress made in bringing school buildings up to standard, of the deficiencies which still remain, and of the likely cost of remedying them. This will be of great assistance in deciding future school building policy.
