Mr. Pavittasked the Minister of Health what factors are taken into account by a regional appeals committee when deciding the grading of a post and to what extent such a decision is made on the basis of duties to be performed, and on the ability of each incumbent to perform those duties, respectively.
§ Mr. PowellGrading is based on the duties actually performed and is normally decided by reference to definitions laid down by the Whitley Councils. Ability is not an issue for the Committee.
