HC Deb 16 March 1961 vol 636 cc133-4W
13. Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what degree of agreement was reached with the delegates to the Nyasaland Constitutional Conference on the terms, and application, of the Nyasaland (Electoral Provisions) Order in Council, 1960.

Mr. Iain Macleod

There was a wide measure of agreement reached although naturally not on all points. Where I was not able to accept the arguments put by various delegates it was necessary for me to decide the matter in the light of all the relevant considerations.
