§ Mr. MarplesThe Corporation has written to me three times since last September urging that the fitting of sirens to ambulances be made legal. It has been told that the question of audible warning devices is under consideration on the basis of the experiments conducted by the Joint Fire Research Organisation, and in reply to its letter of 7th March I have suggested that it might discuss the matter with officials of my Department.
