§ Sir D. Campbellasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will pay compensation to the widow of Lieut.-Colonel Wills for the firearms which the latter handed to the Royal Irish Constabulary, by order, for safe keeping, in return for which a receipt was given, and which have been used by the United Kingdom Government and have not been returned to their owner.
§ Mr. R. A. ButlerThese firearms, which have not been used by the United Kingdom Government, were surrendered over forty years ago by owners who 111W appear to have made no attempt to recover them or to claim compensation. I see no justification for paying compensation now.
