HC Deb 21 June 1961 vol 642 cc133-4W
Mr. Lindsay

asked the Minister of Transport how many road accidents have taken place in the last twelve months due to traffic running into the back of stationary lorries; and how this compares with similar previous periods.

Mr. Marples

I regret that the information is not available for the period specified. During 1958 there were 1,394 accidents involving fatal or serious injuries in which parked goods vehicles were concerned, but no separate figures are available for accidents caused by motor vehicles running into the back of stationary lorries.
