asked the Minister of Transport if he will now permit the use of omnibuses of standard continental dimensions in this country.

Mr. Marples

Yes. The maximum permitted dimensions of public service vehicles will be increased from 30 feet long and 8 feet wide to 36 feet by 8 feet 2½ inches with effect from 1st August.
