Mr. Woodhouse

asked the President of the Board of Trade what preferences are given to United Kingdom products by the following countries of the Commonwealth, namely, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanganyika, Uganda, Kenya, Nyasaland and Northern and Southern Rhodesia.

Mr. Maudling

No preferences are given in Ghana, Nigeria, Tanganyika, Uganda and Kenya. In Sierra Leone and the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland we are accorded preferences over a wide range of our exports.
