§ 52. Mr. Scott-Hopkinsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he has yet received recommendations from the Milk Marketing Board and the National Farmers' Union concerning a new price structure for the milk industry; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. SoamesThe technical examination of the problem has taken rather longer than expected, and the President of the National Farmers' Union, as Chairman of the Joint Committee of the Farmers' Unions and the Milk Marketing Boards, has asked for an extension of time beyond the date of 31st July mentioned in the Annual Review White Paper. This my right hon. Friends and I have agreed to, and the Joint Committee will be reporting as early as possible in the Autumn.
