§ Mr. BraineThe British Council act as the agents of the Commonwealth Relations Office in matters affecting the welfare of students from Commonwealth countries overseas, including their accommodation needs. Close liaison is maintained by the British Council with those officials of universities and institutions of higher education throughout the United Kingdom, who are concerned with this important matter.
