Mr. Greyasked the Minister of Labour if he is aware of the reduction of employment opportunities in the Spennymoor area as a result of the decision to transfer to the south the lamp and lighting manufacture and also the radio industry; and what steps he intends to take to alleviate the position.
§ Mr. Hare:Yes. The Government are continuing to do all they can to stimulate industrial development in the area, which is eligible for assistance under the Local Employment Act.
