HC Deb 30 January 1961 vol 633 cc78-9W
80. Mr. Snow

asked the Minister of power whether his attention has been drawn to the failure of the Central Electricity Authority to provide uninterrupted service in the Croxall district of Lichfield; what action he has taken; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. George:

I am aware that there have been interruptions to the electricity supply in the Croxall district of Lichfield. A Ministry engineering inspector has visited the area. I understand that the East Midlands Electricity Board has prepared a reinforcement scheme; and although this cannot be completed this year, steps are being taken which should lead to a considerable improvement in the supply before next winter.
