§ Mr. R. A. ButlerAbout 250 students demonstrated outside South Africa House and a crowd gathered. When disorder 51W threatened the police ordered the demonstrators to disperse. Most of them did so, but others continued to demonstrate despite repeated warnings and 17 of them were arrested and charged with wilfully obstructing the police.
