§ Mr. Robert Cookeasked the Minister of Education what has been the total money expended on school meals in Bristol since the introduction of the service; and how much has been recovered in charges.
§ Sir D. Eccles:The total expended is £4,820,442, of which £1,842,364 has been recovered in charges. This covers the period from the financial year 1947–48, when the present grant arrangements were introduced, to the end of the financial year 1959–60.
