HC Deb 15 February 1961 vol 634 c142W
28. Mr. Wall

asked the Lord Privy Seal if he will state the number of political refugees that have sought refuge in British territories from the Sudan; how many have been returned to the Sudan from British territories; and for what reasons their return has been allowed.

Mr. Godber:

Within the past year there have been seven of these refugees. The position of six of them was described by my right hon. Friend the Colonial Secretary in his reply of 7th February. Since that date we have heard of a seventh man who has crossed into Kenya. None of these men has been returned to the Sudan.
