asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he expects to give his approval for the building of the new fire brigade station in the centre of the City of Lincoln.

In view of the limited amount of capital investment which can be authorised for buildings for the fire service, as for other public services, I cannot give immediate approval to this scheme; but I hope to be able to agree to its inclusion in the programme for the financial year 1963–64
