HC Deb 21 December 1961 vol 651 c185W
67. Mr. Tilney

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether the Government of Somaliland have granted increases of pension to ex-Colonial Civil Servants; and how these pensions now compare with those of the Home Civil Service, under the provisions of the United Kingdom Pensions (Increase) Act, 1959.

Mr. P. Thomas

The Government of the Somali Republic have agreed to make pension increases amounting to about £3,200 per annum, which will bring the pensions into line with the United Kingdom Pensions (Increase) Act, 1959. I understand the increases in individual pensions are at present being calculated and that payment will be effected early in the New Year dating from 1st April, 1961.
