§ Mr. Edelmanasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will introduce legislation making it obligatory for all motor-cab hire firms within the London area to subject their vehicles to the annual inspection required by the Commissioners of Police, in order to ensure their safety and mechanical reliability as is at present the case under the London Cab Orders.
