Estimates of output have been made in the recent report on the Long-term Demand for Scientific Manpower (Cmnd. 1490, Table 14) and I will, with permission, circulate the relevant figures with the official report.

Scientific and Industrial Research is investigating the manufacture from pulverised fuel ash of a lightweight aggregate for concrete. This work is supported financially by the Central Electricity Generating Board and the results are being used by industry.
