HC Deb 25 April 1961 vol 639 cc25-6W
57. Mrs. Butler

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what arrangements are available to ensure that the observations of the Royal Fine Art Commission are considered before planning permission is given for further skyscrapers in the London area.

Sir K. Joseph

Normally there is consultation between the London County Council and the Royal Fine Art Commission on proposals for major buildings on important sites in Central London, including very high buildings, and account is taken in these cases of the views of the Commission before planning permission is given.
