asked the Minister of Health if he will give the number of eye cases now awaiting admission to the Cardiff Royal Infirmary, and the number who have been waiting three months or longer; and whether he will make a statement on progress in reducing for these people the waiting time for admission to hospital.

461 and 275. I anticipate that the new ophthalmic unit of 16 beds, opened at Lansdowne Hospital, Cardiff, on 4th April, will reduce these figures rapidly.
