Mr. Randallasked the President of the Board of Trade what measures he now has in view for the provision of industry in the Northern Region, where 72 per cent. of the area is excluded from the Local Employment Act, and where the numbers of unemployed boys under 18 years of age remains high and persistent, and has increased since 14th March, 1960.
§ Mr. J. RodgersThe Board of Trade will continue to do all it can to encourage firms to set up in those parts of the Northern Region where the need for new industry is greatest.
