§ Mr. J. RodgersThe current Regulations restrict both hire purchase and rental of radio and television sets. I believe that their effect will generally be to restrain demand. I regret that the Board of Trade does not have statistics which would enable it to identify the effect of hire purchase restrictions on the demand for sets on rental.
