§ 30. Mr. Awberyasked the Minister of Health if he is aware that the mentally deficient patients in the Bristol area have not had dental treatment for several years; what is the reason for this; and what steps are being taken to rectify this state of affairs.
§ Miss PittI know there have been difficulties in arranging for the provision of this treatment, though I understand that, when the services of a dentist have not been available locally for these patients, arrangements have been made for emergency dental treatment to be given at other hospitals. A full-time dentist has now been appointed to the Hortham-Brentry Hospital Group and is due to take up his appointment on 1st June.
