HC Deb 27 June 1960 vol 625 c83W
49. Mr. Pavitt

asked the Minister of Health if the proposed body to review remuneration of doctors will include in its reviews those engaged in the public health field.

Mr. Walker-Smith

The Royal Commission on Doctors' and Dentists' Remuneration was concerned only with the remuneration of doctors and dentists working in the hospital and general medical and dental practitioner services within the National Health Service. The scope of the Review Body which the Royal Commission proposes should be set up accordingly extends only to such doctors and dentists.
